This year’s American Payroll Association Congress was in Sin City itself – Las Vegas. And the whirlwind of activities matched the excitement of the town.
Global Cash Card kicked off the Congress by hosting the Cinco de Mayo party to end all Cinco de Mayo parties. Held at the Hakkasan Night Club in the MGM Grand, this rousing event featured a lively Latin band, salsa dancers, a robust Mexican feast, and dancing until Seis de Mayo! An estimated 400 people attended the exciting event.
The booths opened on Wednesday afternoon to a record crowd. More than 2,000 people visited the Global Cash Card exhibit and entered the drawing for the Trip Anywhere in the World. Central to the exhibit was a live demonstration where George Mavrantzas, Director of Special Projects, walked hundreds of people through a lively demo of Global Cash Card’s online system. For those who endured George’s jokes, they were well rewarded with valuable information and prizes.
Thursday was highlighted with Global Cash Card sponsoring the Keynote Speaker Luncheon where Jason Dorsey motivated the audience with the theme of ulocking the power of generations. After the speech, Mr. Dorsey came to the Global Cash Card booth to meet attendees and sign his book.
The culmination of the show was the presentation of the Global Cash Card grand prize at the Awards Luncheon. For the third year in a row, Global Cash Card inducted a new member of the League of Extraordinary Travelers and bestowed a trip anywhere in the world. This year, they made a dream come true for Maria Manalo from New York. Her destination of choice…Venice, Italy. She will embark on the adventure of a lifetime at the end of June 2015!
